This hazard awareness virtual reality (VR) experience immerses users into an underground mine environment to become familiar with the mine layout and operation, from the safety of a classroom. You can practice spotting hazards in the virtual world, analyse what risks could arise from these hazards, and then choose appropriate controls for the risks. This experience was developed for the School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering at the University of New South Wales to provide a engaging and memorable learning experience for their students. Letting trainees and students explore a work environment to look for hazards from the safety of the classroom is a perfect application of virtual reality (VR). The immersion that VR provides makes the user "feel" as though they are there and increases their familiarisation with the workplace before they get there. In a modelled and animated VR environment we have the ability to show hazards that are not common in the real-world but that workers still need to be familiar with. We can also simulate the consequences (e.g. fire, explosion, fall, etc) that arise from these hazards to help people understand their significance. If you like the sound of VR hazard training for your workplace then please get in touch.  Show less
