This detailed 4D animation was produced to help explain a planned gold mining project to stakeholders. We worked closely with Regis Resources to produce the most accurate visualisation of their proposed McPhillamys Gold Project as possible. These visuals made the project easier to conceptualise and helped everyone to get onto the same page.

The animation starts prior to mining and showcases the key development stages, including the progressive rehabilitation, through to mine closure. This enabled community members, project staff and regulators to better understand the project and the planned schedule for operation.

The visual representation is tied-in with the surrounding landform and includes cinematic elements to makes the project seem real. The clarity provided by this approach makes the whole development easier to understand, helping to save time in back-and-forth communications.

This animation was developed as a fly-over video so the area could be seen from multiple angles. The video could be paused to allow further discussion at key stages. A series of high-resolution images were also produced at discussion points to assist in communication.

The model is based on the actual mine design files, planned production schedule and proposed rehabilitation stages (at the time of rendering).

Large infrastructure projects require many stakeholder approvals before the development can begin. A common delay to project approvals is the time it takes to understand the proposal and impacts the development may have. Presenting the proposed project as a 4D animation (3D with time) allows viewers to quickly understand how all the pieces will fit together and how the development will unfold. This allows concerns to be raised earlier, collaborative discussion to be had with context, and for everyone to be on the same page.

If you have a project that you would like to help your key stakeholders to understand, then we would love to help make the visuals come to life. Leave us a message below and we can discuss the next steps.
