Working At Heights was a collaborative project between the University of New South Wales, the University of Adelaide, RESA, TAFE SA and Skills DMC. Its purpose was to investigate how Virtual Reality technology could be used for training in the South Australian mining industry. With the guidance of subject matter experts at BHP Billiton and SRA, the project resulted in the development and deployment of Working at Heights, an interactive training simulation. Vantage Interactive personnel formed an integral part of the digital content and software development team at UNSW. The training simulation was successfully deployed to installations at the BHP Billiton Olympic Dam site, the SRA training facility in Adelaide, as well as the eRSA and SAVRC Virtual Reality facilities at the University of Adelaide.
